Monday Grocery Madness

Whew! It really was madness today. Feels like I spent every spare second at Publix...but it was definitely worth the great deals I got...Let me give you the rundown. I made 3 trips to Publix today but did 4 transactions because my loving hubby was with me the 3rd time and checked out as well. Lest you think I am just completely crazy, let me tell you that on Mondays, I pass by Publix on my way to work. So I ran to the one by my house right before work. Then, after work,  I had 45 minutes before I had to meet my husband at a meeting (across from Publix) so I went before the meeting and then we both stopped by after. Actually all in all I think it saved me time to break it up...plus was a little easier on the cashiers. Another reason I broke it up was (as you'll see in the pics) I got scrubbing bubbles to send in the SC Johnson rebate mentioned here. I will be receiving $15 back in rebates from all those scrubbing bubbles...about a $9 profit:)
Publix Trip #1: Total before coupons/savings: $41.88
Total spent: $8.10
Percentage of savings: 81%
(the white bread was the penny item here...not what I'd normally buy but I'm thinking we'll have french toast this week. The beef was free with coupons and hamburger helper purchase)

Publix Trip #2-4: Total before coupons/savings: $128.75
Total spent: $21.14
Percentage of savings: 84%
(3 cereals were penny items. I got to stack manf. coupons with store coupons to get all the biscuits free plus overage with the soups. As you can see, not all the o.j. made it home without damage:)

Let me just say that this is one of the best weeks I think that I've ever had a Publix...a total of $136.85 of food for $29.24 with a $15 rebate coming in the mail. Picking up the extra coupon books you see at Publix is what makes these deals. For those of you in Greenville, the downtown Publix always has these booklets on display so stop by and pick up a few! And no worries, I will be spreading the scrubbing bubbles love around so give me a shout-out if you are in need of some:)

You are awesome Brooke! I thought I was doing good this week at Publix, Total before coupons:108.18
Total After coupons: 54.19 (Including $10 in deli meat that we buy every week without coupons)
So not quite half, but really close. And I scored 8 pink breast cancer awereness reuseable shopping bags for free. Love that.

I did get 20 bags of steamfresh veggies at Bilo for free though!

I'm linking your blog so I can check out the deals more regularly!

Oh I'm glad you made the comment about the veggies. I didn't even have time to look at the Bilo deals because I was so busy with Publix. I have some of those steamfresh coupons so out to Bilo I will have to go tonight to score some free vegetables!
